Are you looking to recycle out of date food into pig and cattle feed but are worried about Defra’s rules on food waste?

A lot of people don't realise that the rules are easy to understand and manage with a HACCP plan, meaning that a large portion of the 9 million tonnes of food waste in the UK alone could be recycled into animal feed, caring not only for the environment but also for business costs.

With the Super Separator coming in at under £50,000, it's a solution that the UK is catching onto, having already been a massive success in Spain, Lithuania, Norway, Uruguay and the Netherlands.

The machine can handle all types of food and liquid, in all types of packaging including 400g (baked bean size) tinned products. The end product is clean food ready to be fed to farm animals without any other processing.

The de-packaged food is crumbed and drops onto a conveyor or bin, or in the case of liquids, into a tank underneath the machine. Like magic, the crumb is ready to feed!

Any food that has not gone through the base grill drops onto a conveyor with the packaging. The packaging is blown into a netted skip, which is lifted by the hoover extraction system, ready to be recycled. Any escaped food drops into a bin at the end of the conveyor, ready to be fed.

The Super Separator also does a great job with many other products like bottled soap, disinfectant etc, making it an appealing machine for various sectors and industuries.

The machine processes 4 tonnes per hour of dry products and over 4 tonnes per hour of wet products such as milk.

As if the machine isn't fantastic enough, another huge selling point is the running costs. The machine costs around £3 per hour. JUST £3 PER HOUR!! The low running costs are due to the Super Separator being controlled through inverters. Running on 3 phase electric, 380 to 415 v, the machine is a remarkable size measuring in at 4 metere long, 2 metres wide, 2.2 metres high and weighing in at only 1,200kg.

The machine has two lifting pockets for a forklift truck, so that the machine can be moved for washing or moving purposes. The machine is not bolted to the floor.

The Super Separator comes with a hoover extraction system and a tank for liquids, along with a 2 year warranty. The original design, which has been improved along the way, is now a decade old and two of the first machines built are still being used in the UK daily, without any problems.
